How to Fix Something went wrong when loading your data

This morning I logged in to my Blogger to write a new post and to publish. After, logged in when I clicked on “Post” then I got an error message  “Something went wrong when loading your data”. Same error message I got when tried to click on “Stats”. That made me start thinking that until last night my blogger account was working without any error.

So, as part of basic troubleshooting I tried logging out of my account and logged in again but still same error I was getting. Then I tried clearing history, cookies, and cache and signed in back but still the same error. I also tried to use a different browser such as Microsoft Edge and Safari but even in those browsers, I was getting the same error.

I did some research online about the error but did not get any perfect search results. On one of the posts there was little explanation about this error in Blogger which could be related to using a Blogger account as a draft and as per the instructions “Use Blogger Draft” feature should be off to prevent these types of errors.

I checked my Blogger account and the “Use Blogger Draft” feature was already off. So, then I tried to turn this feature on and checked if I could see my Posts and Stats on the blog. After turning on this feature there was no error and I started using the Blogger. After that I turned the “Use Blogger Draft” Feature off to see if I could use the Blogger without any error and this solution worked for me.

Here are the screenshots How to use this “Use Blogger Draft” feature

How to Add HTML Code to Blogger

Adding HTML code to a Blogger post or page is quite straightforward. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Create a New Post/Page:

Log in to your Blogger account.

Navigate to the “Posts” or “Pages” section in the dashboard.

Click on “New Post” or “New Page” to create a new entry.

2. Switch to HTML Mode:

In the post/page editor, you’ll typically see two tabs: “Compose” and “HTML”.

Click on the “HTML” tab. This allows you to directly edit the HTML code of your post/page.

3. Paste Your HTML Code:

Copy the HTML code that you want to add (e.g., embed code for a video, custom formatting, etc.).

Paste the HTML code into the editor in the “HTML” tab.

4. Switch Back to Compose Mode (Optional):

If you want to see how your HTML code looks in the visual editor, switch back to the “Compose” tab. Blogger will render your HTML code to show you a preview.

5. Preview and Publish:

Preview your post/page to ensure that the HTML code displays correctly. Once you’re satisfied, you can either save the draft, schedule it for later, or publish it immediately using the options provided.

6. Considerations:

Ensure that the HTML code you’re adding is compatible with Blogger’s environment. Some complex or interactive elements may not work perfectly due to Blogger’s security restrictions or limitations.

Always preview your post/page before publishing to catch any formatting issues or errors in the HTML code.

By following these steps, you can easily add HTML code to your Blogger posts or pages to customize your content as needed.

Conclusion

If you are also having a “Something went wrong when loading your data” error on your Blogger Posts on Stats then turn off/on or turn on/off the “Use Blogger Draft” feature.
